Sakura (佐倉市, Sakura-shi) is a city located in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 November 2020, the city had an estimated population of 173,740 in 78,483 households and a population density of 1700 people per km2. The total area of the city is 103.59 square kilometres (40.00 sq mi).

The name Sakura has no relation to cherry blossoms since its written with completely unrelated Kanjis. Still, the association is prevalent.
