Amagasaki (尼崎市, Amagasaki-shi) is an industrial city located in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. As of 30 November 2022, the city had an estimated population of 455,555 in 223812 households, and a population density of 9000 persons per km². The total area of the city is 50.72 km2 (19.58 sq mi).
Most of Amagasaki consists of factories.
*There is a tiny gem just north of Kuise Station (杭瀬) called Ka Ka (カカ). This Nepalese restaurant has excellent curry and an amazing lunch special.
Amagasaki has both a Hanshin (阪神) and JR station. Amagasaki Hanshin is located in southern Amagasaki, and Amagasaki JR is in the north. On the Hanshin line, there are local stops at Kuise (杭瀬) and Daimotsu (大物).
