Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is an extraordinary modernist building in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí. Its undulating façade, irregular balconies, and sculptural rooftop chimneys make it a masterpiece of organic architecture. The building, constructed between 1906 and 1912, served as a residence and now houses an engaging cultural center.
Visitors can explore the interior with its distinctive apartments and enjoy a glimpse into the life of Barcelona's elite at the turn of the 20th century. The rooftop, adorned with its famous chimneys, offers panoramic views of the city. Casa Milà is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a must-visit attraction for those seeking to experience Gaudí's innovative architectural vision.

Our experience is fantastic! We booked an organized tour through the Get Your Guide app. The group was not big at all, there were ten of us in total. The guide was pleasant, friendly and willing to answer all the questions we had. Also, her English was really good and easy to understand.
The Casa Mila is also phenomenal, as is everything about it - the architecture, the way it was built, the aesthetics, the interior, the roof, which is beautiful, unique and fantastic for great photos.
To all of you who are planning to visit, I strongly suggest that you buy tickets in advance because there are huge crowds in the season (as for every other attraction in Barcelona), and if you are able to spare a little more money, I strongly advise you to pay for this sunrise tour with a guide, because with that small group of ten people you will be the only ones in the whole house, which is ideal for great photos and a peaceful tour! The tour starts at 8 am and lasts about an hour. That way, just when the doors open for all the other visitors, you have finished your tour and can go on to visit the other attractions that this fantastic city has to offer.
Absolutely beautiful house! The history of the architect and the family who lived there was amazing. The virtual experience was so interesting and the staff were all so helpful and friendly. The guided tour in the headphones was great, it had a long list of languages that you can pick. The view was phenomenal. Would highly recommend!
I feel a bit daft reviewing this Gaudi house, which speaks for itself. The man was clearly a visionary genius. To have lived in one of these houses would have been a joy.
1/ Go as early in the day as you can. It’s best in the lower seasons if possible.
2/ Buy timed tickets in advance.
3/ You can take a baby, but will have to leave a pushchair before you get to the top floor as access to the roof with one isn’t possible. The staff are helpful and will show you where to put the pushchair.
I recommend a visit to this beautiful, historic place as part of even a short visit to this City.
We did the night experience at the La Pedrera Casa Milà and it was amazing. The tour was guided, and very well paced in English. The guide had interesting anecdotes to share about Gaudí and the occupants while we moved through the levels.
There was quite a bit of stairs to go up to the attic and eventually the roof where the light show was projected on the chimneys. Also a spectacular view of Barcelona at night!!
Cava was served at the ground where the tour ends. It was a great experience.
Do note that viewing the apartments is not part of the night experience!
