Agua Prieta (also known as "Bachicuy" in the native Ópata language, meaning 'Blackwater' in English) is a city in the northeastern corner of the Mexican state of Sonora. It stands on the Mexico-U.S. border, adjacent to the town of Douglas, Arizona.
