Laguna Hills (; Laguna, Spanish for "Lagoon") is a city in southern Orange County, California, United States. Its name refers to its proximity to Laguna Canyon and the much older Laguna Beach. Other newer cities nearby—Laguna Niguel and Laguna Woods—are similarly named. The population was 31,374 at the 2020 census.
In addition to typical sports such as basketball, tennis, and football, ice skating is available in Aliso Viejo a 5-minute drive away from the center of town. Beach and ocean sports are located at Laguna Beach and Dana Point.
Many shopping malls can be found in Laguna Hills.
Hotels of various levels abound around the community with high end luxury properties located at Dana Point.
Laguna Hills is about 50 miles south of Los Angeles on Interstate 5. Exits going south include El Toro Road and Alicia Parkway.
The city is surrounded by Laguna Woods to the North, Mission Viejo to the east and Laguna Niguel to the west. It is approximately 15 min from the Pacific Ocean and Dana Point.
