We paid for the extra experience of the Dessert Party which comes with a reserved viewing spot for the Fireworks. Wouldn't recommend spending the money. Dessert bar was fine, but unless you plan to drink a lot, not worth the expense. Our "reserved spot" was one of the crowded grassy areas. We all stood shoulder to shoulder penned in together. I am on the shorter side and had a hard time seeing past the very tall gentleman in front of me.
Beautiful 50th anniversary fireworks displays during the anniversary this past year! We are so happy to live near Disney and go as often as possible for the regular day events and special nighttime events as well. Disney has been understaffed and raising prices but there is still nothing else like it in Orlando or anywhere else in the country.
On this trip we went to the Liberty Tavern for dinner and were very happy with that “as much as you like” entree options amd the very attentive amd friendly wait staff.
Only at Disney can you dine in an authentic feeling 18th century road house and walk outside to a haunted mansion and a steam boat within sight of the font door.
Fairly good viewing location. Not great for kids as it is harder to see in the crowd. Can't put kids on your shoulders. Deserts were average. Drink selection was beer and wine.
While it was an amazing view, with a pretty good selection of desserts, my husband and I were annoyed with seating arrangements. The tables are so close together that you are knocking elbows with the people next to you. EDIT: After seeing the Once Upon a Time show on the castle I feel a little annoyed that when we paid for this dessert it was not in time for the show on the castle.
That show is way more entertaining to me, I would even prefer to see the show on the castle to the fireworks. So, here is the updated review. If you get to see both, congrats to you, and lucky you.
