What visitors are saying
Dam, this place was cool, in both history and walking on and in this massive structure.
Hard to believe this was built close to 100 years ago. Truly appreciate the massive undertaking to build it.
Parking is free, park on either side Od the dam. The far end eventually dead ends.
I did the power station tour and glad I did. Get to see one of the four main diversion tunnels that were needed to be dug before anything could be done. Then onto see 8 of the massive turbines that generate power, 3 were currently running. Tour $15, pay in person.
Magnificent piece of Engineering! Beautiful dam overlooking Lake Mead. Highly recommend a visit to Hoover Dam. Guided tours are helpful to gain some insights and take you back in the time, where the inception of the great architecture marvel took place. Catching a sunset was such a delight.
What a beautiful place.
Free parking are plentiful
Paid parking as well if you don't want to park far away.
The best place to visit outside of the busyness of the strip.
It's fee and you can get a good workout.
We drove from the Las Vegas strip to the Dam.
What a DAMn beautiful drive!
This was out 2nd visit to the Dam and we quite enjoyed it.
It's kids friendly and have wheelchair ♿️ access.
The Dam is worth seeing even once. If you are planning on visiting Vegas, make the time to visit the Dam. You will not regret it. We set the GPS to avoid highways and toll. took the scenic route and It was only about a 45 minute drive from the strip. We enjoyed this very much.
Really fascinating spot. Head to the welcome center first as it has limited hours. The dam deck area itself is open till 9pm currently and the bathroom towers are open until 6pm. Some parts are under renovation but definitely go up on the viewing bridge afterwards if you can stomach heights. Pretty cool.
